Civil Ceremony Locations

Town Halls

Based on our experience, SwissSE recommends the following Town Halls where it is possible to host your Legal Civil Marriage. The recommendations are based on the ease and flexibilty of the local government offices and the actual beauty and atmosphere of the location itself.

* These venues are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED as they require a shorter time period which you must be in the country and less meetings, which makes your wedding day logisics more flexibile and enjoyable!

Castle Ceremony

It is also possible to host your fully-legal Civil Marriage in the beautiful Aigle Castle , which is a rare venue in Switzerland, and a lovely option for those who do not wish to marry in the Town Hall. Again, this is a fully legal civil marriage, recognized world wide.

Swiss Special Venues

A handful of local government offices have recognized the desire for couples to marry in beautiful settings, other than the local Town Halls, and have begun to offer a variety of Swiss Special Venues, where you can also host your legal civil marriage. As these venues are quite unique, and require the government officials to travel to the certified locations, there are many restrictions involved, such as limited flexibility for the wedding date and time. Many of these venues are only offered one day per month, and available on a first come, first serve basis. Please inquire for more details about the Swiss Special Venues, which are also available for your fully legal civil marriage.

Please note these are recommendations only, and your wedding is not limited to the above mentioned venues. Please inquire for other options.
